Picciòla Pear Ratafia

Pera Picciòla Ratafia is a rare and refined liqueur obtained from the homogenization of the Pera Picciòla, a fruit native to Mount Amiata.

Its production involves reducing the fruit to a purée, followed by cloth filtration that removes seeds and fibrous parts while keeping the essence of the fruit intact. Maceration with orange peel and juice enhances the pear’s natural freshness, preventing oxidation and providing a unique aromatic balance.

With a moderate alcohol content of approximately 22%, it is ideal paired with desserts, but it is also a surprising addition to cocktails. Its fruit juice-like consistency makes it perfect to serve chilled in the summer; shake well before pouring.
